About Peggy
Empowering People Through Practical Learning
For more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people learn, grow, and succeed. Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: I believe the most meaningful learning happens when people feel engaged, supported, and inspired to put new ideas into practice.
As the Founder and Lead Facilitator of Train-IQ, my mission is to deliver professional development that goes beyond theory. Every workshop is designed to provide practical strategies, meaningful experiences, and tools that participants can confidently apply in their work the very next day.
Whether I’m working with childcare professionals, educators, community organizations, or workplace teams, my goal is always the same—to create learning experiences that build confidence, strengthen relationships, and inspire lasting growth.
A Career Built on Experience
My journey in education began more than two decades ago in Mexico, where I worked as a preschool teacher, teacher trainer, principal, and childcare manager. These roles gave me valuable insight into both classroom learning and educational leadership, while reinforcing my passion for supporting educators in meaningful ways.
When I moved to Canada, I embraced a new chapter by working as a live-in nanny, an experience that helped me better understand Canadian families, strengthen my English, and appreciate the diversity of our communities. As I completed the Canadian certification process, I worked as a Responsible Adult before earning my British Columbia Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.
Since then, I have worked in more than 14 childcare centres across British Columbia, collaborating with diverse teams and gaining firsthand experience with the opportunities and challenges educators face every day. These experiences have shaped the practical, hands-on approach that defines every Train-IQ workshop.
Alongside my educational background, I also hold a Certificate in Office Administration, strengthening my organizational, communication, and business management skills. I continue to expand my expertise through professional development and entrepreneurship programs, ensuring Train-IQ evolves to meet the changing needs of today’s organizations.
Why I Created Train-IQ
Throughout my career, I noticed something that inspired me to create Train-IQ.
Educators, leaders, and workplace teams are passionate about the work they do, but many professional development opportunities focus heavily on theory while offering limited practical application. Participants often leave feeling informed—but not necessarily prepared to implement what they’ve learned.
I wanted to change that.
Train-IQ was founded to deliver professional development that is interactive, engaging, and immediately useful. Every workshop is built around real-life experiences, active participation, collaboration, and practical strategies that participants can confidently use in their everyday work.
Learning should inspire action—not simply provide information.
Learning That Creates Lasting Impact
At Train-IQ, we believe professional development should strengthen both individual growth and organizational success.
Our workshops are designed to help participants:
- Build confidence through practical, hands-on learning.
- Strengthen communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Create engaging and inclusive learning environments.
- Foster positive workplace relationships and stronger teams.
- Apply practical strategies that produce immediate results.
- Inspire continuous professional growth.
Whether working with childcare educators, leadership teams, community organizations, or corporate professionals, every program is built around meaningful learning experiences that create measurable, lasting impact.
Our Commitment
At Train-IQ, we’re committed to creating learning experiences that are practical, inclusive, and inspiring.
We proudly offer bilingual professional development in English and Spanish, helping organizations connect with diverse teams and communities while fostering collaboration, confidence, and professional excellence.
When participants leave a Train-IQ workshop, we want them to feel equipped—not only with new knowledge, but with practical tools, renewed confidence, and the motivation to create positive change within their teams and organizations.
